Applications

EDOT is a single material of PEDOT, mainly used as a monomer to synthesize the conductive polymer PEDT, which is widely used in modern electronics industry.

1. the application in solid electrolytic capacitor
The electrolytic capacitor using PEDT as the negative pole is called solid conductive polymer capacitor. Its conductivity is 100S / CM, which is 100 times of TCNQ salt, 10,000 times of electrolyte.The security of solid conductive polymer capacitor is better, when it is in the high Temperature, the electrolyte is just melting but can not explode.

2.the application in Antistatic coating
Antistatic coating is the most important application of PEDT. Compared with other conductive polymer, PEDT/PSS film is not easy to hydrolysis, and it is light fastness and is against high temperature. This kind of characteristic just satisfy the request of anti- static coating. In addition, the resistance of PEDT coating may reach 200 ~ 107 Omega /m2.Therefore, the anti-static coating mixed with PEDT has great potential development.

3.the super material of capacitor electrode
PEDT as a new type of storage capacitor materials. The present experimental data indicate that the capacity of super capacitor using PEDT as electrode can achieve 3000F.

4.The basic material of organic electroluminescence (OEL) display technology
PEDT can be as the hole injection layer of PLED, also can replace indium oxide or Tin oxide(ITO) conductive layer, therefore PEDT is the most important polymers of PLED technology in the future.

5.Other application
Moreover, as the fine characteristics of PEDT, it has broad applying prospects in Via PCB coating, sensors, rechargeable batteries, photodiode, corrosion protection.
